Larvae and flowers

There's nothing like photos of larvae to make you itch all over. I took these while on a bug hunt with my niece and nephew. The ants and egs are kind of interesting to look at -- in a repelling sort of way.

Here are a couple of flower shots from my Mom's garden to balance the visual stimulae.
She has a lot of lily-type flowers. I just love them. So majestic. I don't know what the little purple flowers are called but I think they look like little shoes.

That's a whole bunch 'o larvae. When they hatch, it bet it will be some sort of sci-fi, end-of-the-world thing. I'm building a flame thrower right now to fight of the bug-invasion. That's how the stupid humans always fight the monsters in the bad '50s sci-fi movies.

I think I'll stay away for awhile. I don't want to be at my parents' house when those babies hatch. Ya, it's either flame throwers or incessant screaming. Both mighty effective!
