Lazarus

Lazarus is going to bloom! This is Lazarus, the peace lily in my office. A co-worker found him not long ago, tipped over and mostly dead in a conference room. He brought the plant back to me since I have windows. Lazarus has done quite well and now is going to bloom! Good thing it hasn't been too cold this winter. I fondly refer to the space as the Meat Locker.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who names my plants! The real question is...do you talk to them regularly? I'm quite sure everyone thinks I'm nutty, but judging by the size of Phil (my philodendron)...who cares? Bring on the straightjacket! At least I'll have Phil to keep me company. :)

We have a snake plant at home that I call Milt (Mother In Law Tongue) aka Uncle Miltie and Clara (the Fern). The beauty of Uncle Miltie is that he requires very little maintenance.

I don't talk to my plants but I do name them. We used to have a tall spikey plant named Don after Don King's hair.
