Last night I was thinking about a word of the day and it came to me -- pungent.
That word came to mind because I made a curry yesterday and the smell has permeated my house. The curry was lovely. I expect it will be even tastier today since curry is usually better after the flavors have melded for a day.

It will probably taste better as a left over, but the smell will knock your socks off when you walk into your house today after work. At least that's the way it works with my curried-pickle hot dish surprise.
Although nothing is as bad as stinky taco surprise.
I wish cooking smells disappeared as soon as the dishes were clean and put away.
