That is creepy. Though when I'm in pain I usually laugh too...so maybe the cat has a claw in her back and the freaky lady is trying to smile through the pain so no one knows that she's slowly bleeding to death because of the claw digging into her spine.

That looks like the cat that one of the the Bond villans kept.
You know that thing isn't de-clawed. It probably has extra, prosthetic, claws.
