My brother Steve's family got a puppy the day before yesterday. So far she doesn't have a name. I suggested an older name like Ethel or Hilma but now that I see her, I think she needs a much sweeter name.
The first name that came to my mind when I saw her was "Leo" because she looks a little bit like a lion. She also looks a little bit like Fluffy. Ok, not very inventive. What about Helga?;)
I like Helga! It sounds severe and I don't think she is. They could name her Elsa, in keeping with the lion theme. Elsa is one of the characters in Born Free, by Joy Adamson. I read the book over and over in grade school. The author tells how she takes care of an abandoned lion cub, Elsa, while teaching her how to live on her own in the wild.

Elsa is a cute name.
BTW do you remember Daktari? There was that cross-eyed lion called Clarence. But you can't name a girl Clarence.
I've got it!!!!
GROMIT!!!!!
or GROMITA, for a girl. Maybe GROMITETTE? GROMITITA??
I don't know Daktari. Thanks for the tip! Clarentina or Gromitina maybe? ;)
You outdid yourself Dash! Thanks very much!
She's a female of this decade and favors an androgenous name. Smeadly! (That's pronounced Smehd-lee.)
