Housering

One very interesting ring. Looks like it could be used as a weapon. Would also make a great napkin ring. j davis studios

Chocolate and dogs

An agency we work with sent this lovely treat. The box is delightful. And the chocolates were good, too.

The Most Boring Logo We Could Find

I really hope they didn't pay money to get this logo. I'm not saying that to be snarky. I really hope they didn't waste any money on this. It makes me sad.

The Most Boring Logo We Could Find:
Another logo in the “Geography is Important” camp: The Whiteside County Health Department made a logo that is one step above typing the words out on one line.

So, you know, one step above this: “Whiteside County Health Department”.

Dressed for dinner

Amazing dishes via Design*Sponge.Although I bet getting things like spaghetti sauce off them could be quite time intensive. I'd almost hate to use them with anything that would cover up the great design!

Although I like the last blog layout, there were some drawbacks. So here I am with a new template. I'll try to stick with it for awhile.

'Cool' doesn't begin to describe it

Via the Color Association, a watch by Nicolas Meiresonne that changes color depending on the time of day. Amazing.
Nicolas explains, “I thought of a bracelet with a color that shows what time it is. Blue/green = morning, yellow/orange = noon , red/purple = evening and night. The colors rotate around the bracelet. The color on top indicates the current “time”. When one colour reaches the top for a second time, 24H have past.”

World design

World Design: The Best in Classic and Contemporary Furniture, Fashion, Graphics, and More is a taste treat for the eyes.

I was particularly taken by the chairs. Like Eero Aarnio's ball chair which looks so cozy but at over $1,000 I think I'll pass.

And there others that look incredibly uncomfortable like Mario Botta's Quarta and Stiletto's Consumer's Rest (aka shopping cart).

Good vs. great

I'm addicted to marketing and communication blogs. I get cool ideas from so many smart people. The latest is Cameron Moll's presentation on good vs. great Web design. You can hear and view his presentation on his blog. Unfortunately, no picture of the kids' hair incident.
